It is a high end professional-use program, and as such is expensive to buy and can be quite challenging to get started using it. Nevertheless students who put in a bit of effort to understand its basic features can very quickly begin to produce some exciting creative works. Adobe gives attractive prices and offers to schools to encourage students to use their products.
This tutorial has been designed to introduce absolute beginner students to After Effects. Once underway using it, there are more than enough tutorials available on the web to lead students in whichever directions they wish to take it.
It is still very much a work in progress and will evolve and expand as I test its effectiveness with my students!
