• The University of Tasmania offers a Games Programming degree within the Faculty of Computer Science. 
• Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is offering three new, linked games and digital art programs which started in 2005. They are

• The Queensland University of Technology is offering a Bachelor of Games and Interactive Entertainment for the first time in 2007.  See the Australian IT for news of the rush to join the course.
• Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne offers two games degrees: a four year double degree focusing on games production and a three year single degree focusing on the social and cultural implications of games. Both degrees are designed to provide graduates with a wide range of skills, and are taught by professionals with significant industry experience.
• Information Technology Training Institute (ITTI) in Sydney offers a Diploma of Multimedia specializing in 3d gaming.  It is an intensive course designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to develop effective industry standard multimedia gaming applications. The course introduces students to a wide range of professional multimedia development packages focusing on Multimedia Development, Graphic Design, 2D & 3D Animation, 3d level Design, Digital Audio, Digital Video, 3D Character Modelling, 3D Character Animation, and oral and written communication skills. A strong emphasis will be placed on students gaining the necessary skills to develop cutting edge multimedia gaming applications for delivery on both CD-ROM and the Internet
• QANTM College in Queensland delivers nationally-endorsed training programs in animation, games, graphic design eCommerce, 2D and 3D design, multimedia, information technology, Internet and web Construction, and develops multimedia courseware for education levels from school to university.
• Monash University School of Multimedia Systems (Melbourne). Monash was the first university in Melbourne to establish multimedia as a standalone degree. You can be part of this innovative and exciting world by studying a course at the School of Multimedia Systems (SMS). SMS is proud to offer a Bachelor degree in Games Development, covering all of the fundamental design and programming principles with an eye toward industry trends.
